Preparing The Life:PAK

Today, The Giving Project offers more than just a simple care package. The Life:PAKs that we provide are prepared with appropriate outerwear accessories, toiletries, gift cards, and healthy food options.

All it takes are 15 items worth a total of $15 ($1/item) from any Dollar Tree to complete 1 Life:Personal Assistant Kit.

One : One Collaboration

We are grateful and excited to have One : One support our cause in promoting and offering their office space as the drop-off site for in-kind donations.

Check out the photo gallery below of the 15 items for a total of $15 from any Dollar Tree. That's all we need from the public for one Life:PAK.

Production & Distribution

The Final Steps

The heart and soul of The Giving Project has been, and will continue to be, the people who serve their time, efforts, and resources to make this happen. It is through the giving of others that we can afford to produce these precious gifts to begin with. With that same spirit of giving we have those who volunteer their time and effort to collect the items, organize the essentials, and assemble our Life:PAKs in teams. This collective process happens with anybody from the general public through middle or high school groups who put in the hours and minutes for those who need our help.

Once our items are ready to go, we will set up a monthly street outreach event called Project Give Night:Downtown. There, a team of people will be on hand to manage the distribution of our Life:PAKs. The general public can volunteer to meet on a weekend at night to personally deliver the life-giving contents of the Life:PAK's goods and essentials to people in need.

To further connect the people who, either, still have a backpack with them or have not even seen what we’re about, we will encourage people who distribute our Life:PAKs to post a photo of the street intersection closest to where it was delivered. Once it’s up on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter and easily identifiable with a hashtag (#GivingProjectEP; #WereGoingHome), then anybody will be able to determine which areas have been taken care of for the day, at least.

Plus, our community will also be able to see the impact everyone is making by helping those in need.
